Elli Fordyce's Blog (now THAT'S original!)

Initiated just to set up a blog, after a few months this blog is becoming a hub for a variety of material posted elsewhere about my story, career, music/acting and "philosophy," which some folks might want to be able to access in one place. Your feedback is very welcome as this blog is under construction. Thanks for visiting, Elli ellifordyce@msn.com

About Me

My Photo
Name: Elli Fordyce
Location: Yonkers, New York, United States

http://www.ellifordyce.hostbaby.com BIO: Born and raised in Manhattan, leaving and returning many times for varying reasons (in and out of her control), in the mean time living/gigging all over the country, Elli came back to NY – Manhattan until a recent move to Yonkers – 30 years ago. As a jazz singer, she got off to a rocky start with her multiple detours, but on January 12, 2008, her first CD, “Something Still Cool” featuring Jim Malloy, was released. Within a week, word began trickling in from DJs and jazz programmers that the CD had hit a chord and Elli was “as implied in the title, once cool, always cool, vintage cool" (Bob Gish, Jazz Improv-NY). In the two years since, plans have been made, changed and moved on in her second collaboration with Patrick LoRe (friend, producer, engineer) and resulting in “Songs Spun of Gold.” At 72, Elli has high hopes that many of her life-long wishes are about to come true. http://www.ellifordyce.com/bio.html
